Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, March 29, 2015, Leon Johnson, 76, husband of Sandra Austin Johnson of 52 years.

Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Augusta. He retired from International Paper after 46 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, family members include daughter: Kyle Johnson Gardner and husband Denny of Martinez; grandchildren: Cole, Chandler and Campbell Gardner; and brother: Richard Johnson and wife Ann of Augusta.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Brad Whitt officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers to include: Denny Gardner, Billy King, Eddie King, Cole Gardner, Mike Bowling and Ricky Johnson.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
