Leon Louis LeBlanc
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, July 24, 2013, Mr. Leon Louis LeBlanc, 89, husband of Mrs. Marion LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc was a native of Massena, NY. He was a veteran of the US Army, served in World War II where he was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He worked at J.B White’s men’s dept before opening LeBlanc’s Men’s Wear and Leon & Sons. After he retired he enjoyed spending many years fishing at Edisto Beach, SC with his wife Marion, family and fishing buddies.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. He was a dedicated volunteer with Catholic Social Services and his church.
Family members in addition to his wife Marion include children: Jimmy, Eddie, Nancy Walls and husband Bill, Bruce, Linda Wandless and husband Ken; Mary Krepps and husband Steve; Paul LeBlanc and wife Lynn; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mr. LeBlanc is preceded in death by his granddaughter Stephanie and daughter-in-law Donna LeBlanc.
A Memorial Mass will be held, Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 11:00 am. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Jerry Ragan celebrant.
