It is with tremendously broken hearts that we share our father, Leonard Dye, passed away suddenly yesterday with our mother, Sylvia Dye, by his side. Our parents have always set a godly example for us to live by and their unconditional love and forgiveness taught us what true love and friendships are about. If you know them, you love them. If you do not know them, we wish you did. They represent so many important things to us and they love each other like God loves the Church. Daddy is dancing and singing with Jesus (We hope He likes John Conlee and Merle Haggard) is healed and is no longer in the presence of sin. We miss you terribly and cannot wait for the day that we get to celebrate with you for eternity. We love you and will find a way to continue living and loving others like you taught us. Watch over us, we still need you. We love you more!
In addition to Leonard’s wife, Sylvia, other family members include his three daughters, affectionately known as “Leonard’s Losers”: Karen Smith (Calvin), Jennifer Stewart (Larry) and Patti Dye; three grandchildren: Alison Yohe (Brian), Emily Mason (Jordan) and Davis Smith; great-grandchild: Trinity Grace Yohe; and his brother: Larry Dye (Peggy). He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Dye (Jane).
Daddy's visitation will be at Riverview Church, 1244 Fury’s Ferry Road, Evans, Georgia on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. The celebration of life will follow at noon at the church. A luncheon will be provided at the church immediately following the celebration and all are invited as Daddy loved everyone. Memorials may be made to Riverview Church and mailed to the address above.
