Leonard Fitzpatrick, Jr.

North Augusta, SC – Entered into rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Leonard Fitzpatrick, Jr., 78. 

Leonard was a man of faith who loved his Lord and Savior. He was born in Middletown, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army which brought him to the Augusta, Georgia area. After the military, Leonard worked for and retired from International Paper. Leonard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved time with family, Georgia Bulldogs, playing cards, and traveling. 

Family members include his wife: Betty Sue Fitzpatrick; Children: Leonard Keith Fitzpatrick, Pamela Ann Smith, Ruth Marie Robertson, Rachel Ann Dempsey (Allen Dempsey), Nathanael Allen Lines (Quannie Lines), Joshua Martyn Lines, Rebekah Esther Sinclair (Ethan Sinclair), Matthew David Fitzpatrick (Amanda Fitzpatrick), Lanie Nicole Fitzpatrick, Jayden Isaiah Fitzpatrick; 22 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; Siblings: Richard Fitzpatrick (Carol Fitzpatrick) and Barbara Couch. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Betty Joyce Fitzpatrick; parents: Leonard and Mattie Fitzpatrick and brothers: Norman and Jerry Fitzpatrick. 

The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Chris Brown and Pastor Josh Tesch officiating. Interment will be private. 

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Sunday one hour prior to the service at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
