Lillian Crawford Bolyard
Augusta, GA – Lillian Crawford Bolyard, 100, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, wife of the late Frank Bolyard, Sr.
She was born in Augusta, GA on October 10, 1920. She was raised in Augusta and graduated from Tubman High School. She worked at Southern Bell in Macon, GA as a telephone operator as a young adult. After marrying, she moved to Mobile, Alabama with her husband, where she worked as a flight instrument artist for the United State government. She then moved back to Augusta and pursued a lifelong career as an artist, selling her paintings throughout Augusta and Edgefield, SC areas. She was an avid gardener, fisherman and wildlife enthusiast. She had a love of books and was a lifelong reader. She found beauty in all things and shared this with those she loved.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband: Frank Bolyard, Sr.; parents: Samuel and Janie Elizabeth Crawford; brothers: Thomas Crawford, William Crawford, Joseph Crawford, Frank Crawford, and Gordon Crawford; sisters: Myrtle Crawford Bailey, Bernice Crawford Whittle and Daisy Crawford. She is survived by her two sons: Frank Bolyard, Jr. (Helga) and David Bolyard (Theresa); grandchildren: Chasity Smith (Erik), Alysia Collins (Scott); great grandchildren: Cole Williamson (Sarah), Caleb Smith (Megan); and great-great grandchild; Corah Williamson.
There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members at Bellevue Memorial Gardens cemetery.
