Lillie Moody Parker
Evans, GA- Entered into rest on Monday, February 27, 2023, Mrs. Lillie Moody Parker, wife of the late Doster E. Parker.
Lillie was born in Lexington Co., SC in 1929 and was a longtime resident of the Augusta, GA area. She retired after thirty years as a physical therapy assistant from the first private practice physical therapy office in Augusta. She was a member of Martinez United Methodist Church. She previously managed the food pantry and served as president of the Joy Club at Gracewood United Methodist Church.
Lillie enjoyed gardening, observing nature, reading, her exercise classes, lunch with friends and shopping. However, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Family members include her daughter, Lynda P. Thornton (Thomas); sister, Miriam Wall; special niece, Ginger Wall; special nephew, Charlie Wall; sister-in-law, Martha Craft; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, she leaves behind Vivian Thornton, Kristy Olive, Linda Thornton, and Irene Stevens, all of whom she considered family. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and May Moody; brothers, James Moody and Nathan Moody; and special cousin by marriage, Margie Mosley.
The family would like to thank everyone who showed her so much love and kindness over the years.
A private family graveside service was held March 9, 2023 with Chaplain Wade Sosebee.
