AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Doctors Hospital, Mr. Lindy “Bo” Chalker, 60, husband of Shirley Guy Chalker.
Mr. Chalker was a native of Gibson, GA, but resided in Evans, GA. He was employed at Plant Vogtle. He was previously employed by Carter Electric. Mr. Chalker was a fan of Braves baseball and NASCAR. He loved his family.
Family members include his spouse: Shirley Chalker, stepdaughters: Becky Yeremyan (Nisan) of Atlanta, Amy Iannacone (Richard) of North Augusta, SC, mother: Joann Chalker of Gibson, father: Lindy M. Chalker, Sr. (Florence) of Evans, sister: Kathy Chalker of Gibson, stepbrothers: Michael Teuton, Kenneth Teuton, stepsister: Cheryl Meadows & six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Tommy & Viola Chalker & maternal grandparents: Cleon & Norene Murphy. The family would like to recognize “Bo’s” close friend Wally Gollmer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 A M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with the Rev. Russell Davis and Key Kernaghan officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Gibson United Methodist Church cemetery in Gibson, GA. Pallbearers will be Shelton Saylors, J. E. Fires, Donnie Hutchinson, Rick Baker, Rick Ford & Danny Elrod. Honorary pallbearers will be IBEW Local 84 members.
