Evans, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday April 21, 2010, at his residence, Mr. Lindy M. Chalker, Sr. husband of Florence E. Chalker.

Mr. Chalker was a native of Glascock County, but had resided in Evans most of his life. He was an Electrical Superintendent for Carter Electric. Mr. Chalker was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Gibson, GA.

Family members include his wife Florence; daughter; Kathy Chalker of Gibson, GA, stepsons; Dr. Michael Teuton of Jackson, SC, Kenneth W. Teuton of Jackson, SC ; step-daughter; Cheryl Meadows of Augusta, GA, sisters; Cloise Kent of Gibson, GA, Opal Hammett of Gibson, GA, a number of nieces and nephews, and daughter-in-law; Shirley Chalker. Mr. Chalker was predeceased by his brothers; Hammond Chalker, Bradlee Chalker, sister; Vera Davis, son; Lindy “Bo” Chalker, Jr., stepson; Randy Lee Teuton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11:00 A. M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Russell Davis and Mr. Key Kernaghan officiating. Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tommy Kent, Bill Kent, David Hammett, Murphy Harrell, Bruce Haislip, Lynn Davis and special friend, Wally Gollmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Electric employees.
