Atlanta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, January 30, 2023, Lisa Marie Hargett, 53.

Lisa was a native of Atlanta but lived in Augusta many years. She was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County, Georgia State University and Troy University. Lisa worked for the City of Roswell as an administrative assistant for over 10 years. A great cook and wonderful sense of humor, Lisa had a kind, gentle heart and loved people and animals. Lisa was such an intelligent and loving mother to her children and will be greatly missed.

Family members include her children: Sadie Elisabeth Hargett and Benjamin Wayne Hargett; mother: Betty Dickey (James); sister: Sherry Sanders (Joel); stepsisters: Carla Dickey and Angela Thibodeaux; niece: Mary Catherine Sanders and nephews: Dayton Wood and Michael Thibodeaux and lifelong friend: Keith Fields. Lisa was predeceased by her father Wayne Hargett and stepbrother Bradley Dickey.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Herman Bouwhuizen officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
