Lois Allen

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, April 20, 2023, Lois Ruth Allen, 87, loving wife of Charles “Chuck” K. Allen.

Lois was born in Oak Park, IL. She reared three sons, served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, was active each political election as a poling judge and cared for the elderly as a Certified Nursing Assistant, both in nursing homes and for a home health agency. She supported charitable causes, as well.

Lois enjoyed music, growing strawberries and miniature cantaloupes, cooking, baking Christmas cookies and toying with marzipan. She was also fond of Asian and Native American art. As a bird lover, Lois particularly enjoyed watching Chickadees.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her sons: Sean Allen (Robin), Ross Allen (Nancy), and David Allen; grandchildren: Rebekah Smith (Joshua), Brian Allen (Brittani), Bethany Allen, Laurel Allen, Jonathon Allen, and Tanner Allen; four great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Donald Streubel (Jane), Kay Lynn Kibbel (Leroy) and Dale Streubel (Elizabeth).

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
