Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, April 12, 2013, Mrs. Lois E. Tucker, 84, wife of the late Clarence W. Tucker, Sr.

A native of Jesup, GA, Mrs. Lois E. Tucker loved the Lord and was a dedicated member of the Abilene Baptist Church. For 45 years of her life, she worked at King Mill as a spinner. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was married to her late husband for 58 years.

Family members include son: “CW” Tucker, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Statesboro, GA; daughter: Diane Hart and husband Jim of Augusta, GA; grandchildren: Jennifer Labadie, Greg Tucker and Phillip Harris; great-grandchildren: Kayla, Daniel, Scarlet and Tucker; brothers: Willie Blanton and Ronald Blanton; and sisters: Annette Neahous and Nell Shell. Mrs. Tucker was the daughter of the late Sidney R. Blanton, Sr. and Mary Belle Delk.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. William Harrell and Rev. Terry Doss officiating. Interment will be held at Westover Memorial Park after the service. Pallbearers include: Butch Quinn, Mike Bennett, David Bennett, Brian Crosby, Jeff Crosby and Ricky Blanton. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Emory Sayer Sunday School class.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Abilene Baptist Church Building Fund, 3917 Washington Road, Martinez, GA 30907.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 12 noon.
