Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, February 26, 2011, Mrs. Lois M. Effingham, 80, wife of the late Eugene Effingham.
Mrs. Effingham resided in Augusta for the past 18 years and was a native of Huntington, WV. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Family members include daughters: Louise Merkel of Augusta, GA, Donna Gail Wyant of Huntington, WV; son: Larry Effingham of Easton, MD; grandchildren: Debbie Nutter, Shelley Merkel, Sara Seltzer, Angie Merkel Harris, Rebecca Wyant, Rachel Wyant, Damon Effingham; 2 great grandchildren; Megan Merkel O’Connor, Jordan Ashley O’Connor; brothers: Norman Ramey and Paul Ramey. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Leona Jenkins.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Westover Memorial Park at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Charles Broome officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2367 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
