Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, September 10, 2011, Mrs. Lois S. Plunkett, 88, wife of the late James T. Plunkett, Jr.
Family members include daughters: Rebecca Mundy (Robert), Linda Thomas (Gordon), 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters: Jacqueline Wilkinson, Mildred Quarles, and Nancy Cates. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff James T. Plunkett, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. John West officiating. Following the service burial will be at Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Thomas, Jeffery Thomas, Lance McMurray, Kent Plunkett, James Plunkett, James Drew, John Flynt. The honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Webster, Ronnie Strength, Greg Coursey, Gene Johnson, Clay Whittle, and members of the RCSD.
The family would like to thank the Hospice Care of America, especially Victoria and Alicia.
In lieu of flowers, the request that donations may be made to Diamonds in the Ruff CSRA Inc. (Animal Rescue), P.O. Box 2554, Evans, GA 30809.
