Augusta, GA – Lola Jo Andrews, 91, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Family members include her son: Cameron Andrews (Diane) and daughter Deborah Andrews (deceased). Her parents were Noel Dudley Morris and Callie Irene Morris (Carter). Grandchildren include Elizabeth Price (Allen), Ashley Andrews (Adam), Ross Hilson (Emily) and Katherine Hilson (Matt). 

Lola was married to Richard Warren Andrews for 30 years. After their divorce and after a season apart they resumed a close relationship that continued until his passing in 1999.

Lola was born on September 26, 1933 in Lumberport, West Virginia then spent her early years in Del Rio, Texas. Her family moved to Indianapolis when she was a teenager. She met and married Richard in 1954. Richard and Lola founded the Hemophilia Group in Indianapolis, Indiana in the early 1960’s. They founded the Unity study group which became Christ Church Unity in Augusta, Georgia in the early 1970’s. Lola graduated from the Unity Seminary in 1981. Reverends Lola and Richard served as joint Ministers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from 1981-1984 and then Lola served as the senior Minister from 1985 – 1995. Lola served as Minister in Shreveport, Louisiana from 1995 until her retirement in 2002. Lola returned to Augusta where she volunteered at the V.A Hospital gave occasional talks at the Unity Church, and was able to be with her family and friends in her favorite city.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Unity Church, 2301 Central Avenue, Augusta, Georgia 30904 with Rev. Sheryl Padgett officiating.
