London G. Eubanks, Sr.

Martinez, GA – Mr. London Geroyle Eubanks, Sr., 62, entered into rest Monday, January 28, 2019.

Mr. Eubanks is a 1973 graduate of ARC and a graduate from Northwestern University of Wisconsin. In 1984, he became a police officer for Augusta University (formerly MCG). During London’s time with the police dept. he founded the Bicycle Patrol for N. Augusta Public Safety, Ft. Gordon, Richmond Co., Columbia Co. and Athens Police Dept. (Wisconsin) and trained police officers for bicycle patrols nationally. He organized bicycle rides for several fundraisers at MCG Childrens Hospital. He was the past president of the Fraternal Order of Police. London was proud that he was a torch bearer for 1996 Olympics. Mr. Eubanks attended Spoken Word Tabernacle in Beech Island, SC.

Family members include sons: London Geroyle Eubanks, Jr (Sarah) and Connor Douglas Eubanks; granddaughter: Skyler Eubanks; mother: Emmie Eubanks; brothers: Vincent Eubanks and Patrick Eubanks (Durand “Ricie”); niece: Eryn Eubanks Miller (Greg); loving friend: Fran Rester.; and aunt: Shirley Doyle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev .Michael Ulteig officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
