Hephzibah, Georgia- Mr. Lonnie C. Sevier went to be with Jesus his savior on Saturday, January 2, 2021. Mr. Sevier was born on March 1, 1947 to the late J.E. (Honest Ed) and Bertha Sevier. He grew up in Centrahoma and Olney, Oklahoma. He served 20 years in the U.S. Army serving multiple tours in Viet Nam, Germany, and Korea. His stateside stints included the 1st and 2nd Armored divisions at Ft. Hood, Tx., and as a senior instructor and Drill Sgt. at the U.S. Army Signal School, Ft. Gordon, Ga. Upon his military retirement, he was hired as a member of the paramilitary protective force at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site until his retirement in 2009. He was a faithful member of Bible Deliverance Temple where he served on the board of Directors. He also served as a member of the road crew for Eryn Eubanks and the Family Fold gospel/bluegrass band to their many gigs. His hobbies included fishing, spending time with friends and family, and doting on his grandchildren. Lonnie loved God, his family, and church family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Myong, daughter Kimberly Kraft (Kris); three grandchildren, Dylan, Lauren, and Daniel; all of Evans, Ga. Brother Randell (Mary), (Duncan, OK.), sister Ann Kehnemund (Okeene, Ok.) eight nephews, six nieces, and many cousins and distant relatives in Oklahoma and Texas.
Lonnie was the eleventh of thirteen children.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Bible Deliverance Temple, 1857 Fenwick St., Augusta, Ga with Senior Pastor Jimmy Murray officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. prior to the service.
