Loretta F. Moore

Evans, GA – Ms. Loretta F. Moore, 76, entered into rest on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at her home, in Evans, GA.

Loretta was born October 31, 1946 in Albany, New York to Joseph and Mary (Sanferraro) Ferrigno. Later, her family relocated to Catonsville, Maryland, where she graduated from Catonsville Senior High School. After graduation, she attended Baltimore City Studio of Hair Design. Her passion for cosmetology afforded her the opportunity to become part owner of Shear Magic in Ellicott City, Maryland. Loretta’s many years until retirement paved the way for lasting friendships and love from her coworkers and loyal customers.

Loretta was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. The values she instilled were love of family, respect, education, and traditions, to name a few. These will carry on for generations to come. Loretta‘s greatest joy was that of her grandchildren, Isaiah, Samara, and her grand dog Otis. The family joke was that Julie and Stefanie knew they were ‘chopped liver’ and took a backseat to her grandbabies. Loretta loved spending quality time supporting, encouraging, and making memories with them. Loretta was a true friend to all she knew. A mark was left in everyone’s heart and memories were created between her and those she loved and called friend. It was a natural gift that Loretta had to make people feel special. She was always there with a listening ear, a big hug, encouraging words, and a heart of gold that she extended to everyone in their time of need.

Loretta’s many hobbies included traveling with her sister, Carol, talking and spending time with family and friends, cooking, attending concerts and musicals, baking, traveling, volunteering, shopping, reading, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. She loved the water and spoke of possibly moving closer to it one day.

Loretta is survived by her former husband: Stanley Beauchamp and their three children: Julie Peace (James), Stefanie Harris (Stephen), and Steven Beauchamp, who they adored; grandchildren: Isaiah Kellam, Samara Harris, Shayla Harris, and Stephanie Ruise; sisters: Annette Lane and Carolyn Ferrigno (Wayne Wolfe); nephew: Chris Lane (Sukyong); nieces: Chelsea Lane and Cara Garside (Todd); great nephew: Bryan Garside, and grand dog: Otis. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary Ferrigno, sister: Mary Jo Ferrigno; brother-in-law: George Lane, and grandson: David Peace.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
