Evans, GA - Lori Selman, born in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on August 6, 1962 entered into eternal life in the comfort of her own home on January 20, 2019.
Being an army brat, Lori grew up living in several different states and one foreign country. She was proud to call Augusta home since 1974. Lori loved her family dearly and adored her son and loved nothing more than to watch him succeed. She enjoyed spending her time watching old black and white movies on the Turner Classic Movie channel and loved following the action on LivePD on the weekends. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her family pets. She kept an incredibly bubbly personality and could always be counted on to bring a smile to anyone’s face- her jokes and goofy sense of humor will be sorely missed!
Lori is survived by her husband of almost 31 years, John Selman; her son and the apple of her eye, John Taylor “JT” Selman; her dear mother, Betty Etherington; her beloved nieces April Weatherread and husband Brandon, and Katie Bugh and husband Chris and her great niece Natalie Weatherread. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lori is preceded in death by her father, John “JJ” Etherington; and her sister, Lee Ann Kennedy.
A funeral mass will be said on Thursday January 24, 2019 at 1pm at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and will be officiated by Father Michael Roverse.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
