Mrs. Lottie McGee
Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, September 17, 2011, Mrs. Lottie McGee, 98, wife of the late David Emmett Hall and the late Hampton Hewett McGee.
Mrs. McGee was a native and lifelong resident of Hephzibah. She was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church, the church choir, and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. She was owner of McGee Waste Disposal for 1953 to 1983. She also worked as a Crossing Guard in Hephzibah from 1950 to 1963. For many years she was chairperson of the Hephzibah Fair.
Family members include her grandchildren: Emmett Hall and wife Bobbie of Augusta, Karen Newman and husband Robbie of Evans, Larry Steverson and wife Elaine of Hephzibah; great-grandchildren: Paige Hall, Stephanie Newman-Yoder, Parker Hall, Joey Newman; and great-great grandchild, Alyse Yoder. She was predeceased by her son, David Emmett Hall, Jr. and daughter, Shelby Jean Hall Steverson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Rev. Danny McGill officiating. Interment will follow at Hephzibah City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Fleming Baptist Church Home Bound Ministries.
