Lou Ellen Taylor Bricker of Augusta, GA, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Bricker, a native of West Virginia, was a graduate of Radford College where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and Education. An Army wife, she taught English as a second language in Thailand and at Ft. Gordon. Mrs. Bricker was a member of the American Association of University Women and Garden Arts Club. Her passion for travel lead her on adventures around the world. When at home, she enjoyed reading and meeting friends for bridge club. Above all, she loved and cared for her family.

Lou Ellen was predeceased by her parents, John Edward (Jack) Taylor and Francis Ann Taylor of Bluefield, WV. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years , LTC (Ret) James William “Bill” Bricker. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: George Edward Bricker, James William Bricker, II (Lorrie), John Barbour Bricker (Caren); five grandchildren: Joseph William Bricker (Katie), Christopher John Bricker (Amy), Katherine Bricker Tessaro (Jordan), Danielle Christine Bricker and Miranda Taylor Bricker; and one great-grandson: Wyatt Joseph Bricker.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 28 at 6:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 6:30 pm at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Home, 214 Davis Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
