Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, December 24, 2010 at home, Lucille Morton, 89, wife of the late John B. Morton, M.D.
Mrs. Morton was a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia’s Nursing school in the 1940’s. She decided to be a homemaker after the birth of her first child and moved back to Augusta in 1990 after living in Thomasville, Dublin and Gray, Georgia. To her, family was everything, and she loved to cook, read, garden, and needlepoint.
Family members include: daughters: Jeanne M. Dicasali (Raymond) of Atlanta, GA, Catherine D. Morton of Augusta, GA, and Ann L. Morton of Augusta, GA, grandchildren: John M. Dicasali (Jennifer) and Megan Dicasali.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Highview Cemetery in Gray, GA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1105 Furys Lane, Suite D, Augusta, GA 30907.
The family will receive visitors Monday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the residence of the family, 1601 Kissingbower Rd. 30904.
