Augusta, GA – Mr. Mack H. Brantley, 82, entered into the presence of the Lord Wednesday, September 21, 2011.
Mr. Brantley was a native of Martin Co., NC but lived in Augusta for the last 60 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and Korea. After his discharge from the U. S Army, he began a 35 year career with Civil Service at Ft. Gordon as a training instructor where he remained until his retirement. Mr. Brantley was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church where he previously taught and was a member of the Cornerstone Sunday School Class.
Family members include his son: Johnny W. Brantley, Sr. and wife Angela; daughters: Sherry Nickelson and husband Alex, Gail Raborn and husband John, Wanda Thompson and husband Ricky; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. and a sister: Janie Thomas; brother: Douglas Brantley;
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Sherwood Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Johnson and Rev. Marion Jay officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Cornerstone Sunday School Class.
