Madison Elizabeth McDaniel

On May 23, 2023, Madison Elizabeth McDaniel, 20, passed suddenly in her home of Martinez, GA.

Madison was born in Augusta on November 8, 2002, and was a near life-long resident of Harlem, GA. Being a stellar student at Augusta University for the last 2 years studying psychology, Madison strived to touch the lives of everyone she met. She was a bright light to all those around her, never meeting a stranger and always having kind words to offer. Madison loved the Lord with all her heart and was an active member in church, always bringing joy into any room she entered. She loved Hello Kitty, made the best sushi rolls and loved eating at Habaneros Mexican Restaurant. She enjoyed trying new hairstyles, her makeup was impeccable; making photo shoots or TikTok videos with her fiancé or hanging out with friends was her favorite past time on weekends. Madison’s most recent goal was to buy a camper and enjoy nature as a “campy campperson”. Madison was a fighter against her lifelong ailments and “doing the hard things”, but God needed another angel. Madison, you are forever in our hearts: “I love you more”.

She leaves behind her fiancé: Ezekiel Grier; her father and stepmother: Ben and Jen McDaniel of Martinez GA; her mother and stepfather: April and Ernie Mateer of Harlem GA; sister and brother-in-law: Emma McDaniel-Escamilla and Isai Escamilla of Harlem GA; brother: Caleb McDaniel and sister: Corrine McDaniel both of Martinez GA. Her paternal grandparents: Jimmy and Tillie McDaniel of Martinez GA; Brian and Constance Landry: of Tucson AZ. Her maternal grandparents: Calvin and Linda Melcher of Harlem GA.; aunts and uncles: Rebecca and Joe Smith of Dearing GA, Leroy and, his late wife Julie Powell of Augusta, GA, Matthew and Georgia Landry of Tucson AZ, Jessica Landry and Colin Sukanek of Upton MA; cousins: Katelyn Morgan and Collin Currie of Grovetown GA, Kinley and Logan McDaniel of Augusta GA, Courtlyn and Justin Smith of Dearing GA, Liam, Logan and Leann Landry of Tucson AZ, and special cousin Christy Collins of Oliver Springs, TN; great aunts and uncles: Bill and Billie Jackson of Tiger, GA, Charlie Luke of Augusta, GA, Alana and Pearre Morgan of Grovetown, GA, Sheena Rader of North Augusta, SC, Josephine and Chris Epps of Sparta, GA, David and, his late wife, Vickie Collins of Oliver Springs, TN, Cheryl and Tony Cammissa, Sandy and Val Dmitriev of Washburn TN, Nancy and Jim Butler of Milford, MA, Allen and Gail Landry of Worcester, MA, Lorraine and Gene McGuire of Plaquemine, LA and very close family friend: Melanie Michaels, and Madison’s beloved cat Sunny.

And He, Jesus, said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” Mark 5:34
