Appling, GA – Surrounded by her loving family, Madonna Browning West, age 73, answered the call of her Savior on Monday, June 18, 2018. She was a longtime resident of Augusta and a was in the first graduating class of Butler High School. She was also a member of Gracewood Baptist Church. She was a loving and hardworking mother; retiring after 30 years from Gracewood State School and Hospital. Madonna loved children and was very popular with the neighborhood kids giving out candy and drinks to all.

Family members include her son: Tim West (Teresa); daughter: Sheila Bartlett (Lowell); and the light of her life, her granddaughter: Brianna West; sister: Sue Wiggins (Gary); sister-in-law: Helen Browning; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Essie Browning; brothers: Garney Cecil Browning and George Leroy Browning

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Fellowship of Augusta with Pastor Brian Fields officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the church.
