Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, May 11, 2013, Margie Williams McGee, 91, wife of the late William Edward McGee.
Mrs. McGee was a native of Avera, GA but had lived in Augusta for the past 70 years. She was a lifetime member of Hill Baptist Church, as well as a member of Ruth Bible School Class. She retired from University Hospital as a Floor Administrator. She loved working with her flowers in her garden.
Family members include sister: Melvis Johnson of Augusta, GA; nieces: Bobbie Wuest, Jamee Raborn and LuAnne Williams; nephews: Jim Keen, Mark Keen, Tim Keen, Andy Williams, Boyd Williams, Craig Williams and Judson Williams. She is also survived by many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She is preceded in death by her nieces: Diane Leggett and Jan Johnson and nephew: Fay Newsome. The family wishes to thank Frankie Newsome and her daughters for their friendship.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Jones and Rev. Dwight DeNegly officiating. Interment will be held in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include: Jim Keen, Mark Keen, Tim Keen, Craig Williams, and Judson Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hill Baptist Church, 2165 Kings Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at
