Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her residence, Marianne Brunnauer Blissit, 87, loving wife of James A. Blissit.
Mrs. Blissit was a native of Salzburg, Austria but lived in Augusta area for 62 years. She retired from MCG after many years of service. She was a “cradle Catholic” and a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughter: Grace M. Hayles and husband Joe of Uriah, AL; granddaughter: Teresa Lambert (Ronnie); grandson: Mitchell Hayles; great grandchildren: Anamarie Hornady and Leslie Bell; stepchildren: Patricia Larkins and husband David of Surprise, Arizona; Martha Best and husband Roy of Lincolnton, GA; Franklin L. Kelly of Harlem, GA; James A. Blissit Jr. and wife Olga of Weatherford, TX; step daughter-in-law: Maria Blissit of Bellbrooke,Ohio; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; special niece: Mary Murphy and her special friend West Highland White Terrier named Princess. She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth M. Mitchell
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2104 at 10:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Fr. Mike Ingram officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Building Fund, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
