Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Trinity Hospital, Mrs. Marion Francis Plummer, 88, wife of the late Michael J. Plummer.
Marion was born in Buffalo, New York, married the love of her life in 1942 and enjoyed life as a military wife and mother. When Mike retired in 1967, Augusta became their home. She worked for several years as a seamstress at Belk’s, enjoyed family gatherings, making spaghetti dinners, fig cookies at Christmas, going to the Masters, visiting with friends, Garden Club gatherings and playing bridge.
Family members include: son: Michael J. Plummer Jr. (Karen) of Newark, Delaware, daughters: Holly M. Barrie (Rod) of Martinez, Carol A. Coe (James) of Gainesville, Florida, grandchildren: James M. Kettler, the late Todd A. Kettler, Elissa Rae Tudor (Tim), Katherine D. Powell (Eric), Michael J. Plummer III (Amanda), Jeffrey D. Coe (Jennifer), and great grandchildren: Ashley L. Kettler, Todd D. Kettler, Matthew and Brooklyn Tudor, Logan and Megan Powell. The family would like to thank ResCare and especially Marie for their love and care.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. Thomas Healy officiating.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA, 30906.
