Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, May 28, 2012, Mrs. Marion Marianne Moore, 70, wife of Mr. Benjamin Moore.
Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Herbert and Martha Dittrich. She was a native of Germany but lived in the Augusta area since 1963. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Mrs. Moore was a retired cosmetologist and was also a retiree of University Hospital after 23 years of service.
Family members in addition to her husband include son: Timmy K. Taylor (Allison) of Augusta; daughters: Sabrina T. White (Randy) of Augusta, Cynthia J. Sumpter (David) of Evans; grandson: Shaun K. Taylor (Jennifer); granddaughter: Megan Sumpter; great grandchild: Braxton K. Taylor; and aunt: Hildegard Durden of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. David Hunter and Pastor Dwayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Ryan Davis, Todd Brown, Ron White, Steve Clements, and Todd Wood. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Davis and Wallace Johnson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
