Marjorie passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia.
Marjorie Lippert, born December 18, 1938, to Romeo Joseph Borromey & Elizabeth Webster Richardson in Wilmington, North Carolina. She spent most of her childhood in Boston, Massachusetts after her father retired from the Coast Guard.
Marjorie is survived by her devoted husband, G. David Lippert of Augusta, Georgia; her son, Ronald J. Lippert, daughter-in-law Lynette Lippert, and grandson Garrison D. Lippert of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Jennifer (Lippert) Key, and son-in-law Scott Key of The Woodlands, TX; and her sister, Nancy A. Borromey of Framingham, Massachusetts. Marjorie was preceded in death by her son, Gary David Lippert. Marjorie was very energetic, gregarious & chatty who never met a stranger. She was a talented and creative individual with a passion for sewing, jewelry making & quilting. She loved traveling with her husband both domestically and abroad including visits to Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru, Jamaica, Mexico, the Caribbean and parts of Europe. She was also an active volunteer, dedicating much of her time to helping others in her community. A member of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, Marjorie was a woman of deep faith and commitment to her church family. A graduate of Lasell College, Marjorie valued education and lifelong learning while instilling this in her children. During her life, she had several employment positions with a variety of organizations including the Central Intelligence Agency (Washington, DC), Augusta State University (College of Education) and AAFES (Army / Air Force Exchange Services). Marjorie will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy of generosity and love will continue to inspire those who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church at 4:00 p.m. July 12th, 2024.
