Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Marjorie Menefee, 92, wife of the late Lt. Col. Robert Menefee, retired US Army.
Mrs. Menefee was a native of Mansfield, Ohio and has resided in Augusta since 1964. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1935 and she graduated from Miami University in 1939, where she was a member of the Presidents Club. She was a 1st English Lutheran lifetime member. Mrs. Menefee was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Kappa Delta Pi National Education Honorary Sorority and Phi Sigma Biological Honorary Sorority. She taught elementary school in Sandusky, OH for 8 years and traveled to many foreign countries with her serviceman husband.
Family members include her son: Mark Menefee of Augusta, GA; 7 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Mrs. Menefee was preceded in death by her sister: Mary Jane Bolus and her parents: Clyde J. Blair and Lula Bissman Blair.
Graveside service will be held Monday, September 21, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield OH.
