A native of Augusta, GA, Mr. Phillips was President of a very successful corporation, the Philner Group, Inc. Additionally, he was also a Secondary Marketing Manager. He was also the Front End Manager of the Kroger Grocery Store on 15th Street for 15 years. Trading in stocks was his hobby. He dearly loved his nieces and nephews. He loved pets and his dog in particular, Cayman. He also loved to travel.
Family members include his partner: Robert Horner; parents: Josephine and Allen Phillips: brother: David Phillips (George Ann); sister: Sandra Phillips Gorse; nieces and nephews: Brandon Gorse, Ashlyn Gorse, Bowen Phillips, Hannah Phillips, and Lisa Gowens; mother-in-law: Nancy Horner Pierce; and sister-in-law: Debbie Brown.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
