Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, January 8, 2015, Mrs. Martha H. Owens, 82, loving wife of 34 years to the late John B. Owens.
Mrs. Owens was a native of Marion, AL. She was a 1951 graduate of Perry County High School. She then graduated from Judson College and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She was the head lab tech for Druid City Hospital and a real estate agent at Remax North Atlanta. She was a member of Free Chapel in Gainesville, GA for many years. Mrs. Owens was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Family members include her daughters: Jill Owens, Alice Cerniglia, Lisa Amerson; grandson Ben Cerniglia; adopted grandchildren: Taylor and Ashley Fingerson; sister: Kathleen Gatch; brother: Thomas Hartley; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that charitable donations be made to MSA Hospice, 4314 Belair Frontage Rd., Augusta, GA 30909.
