Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, May 28, 2011, Mrs. Martha S. Quinn, 58, wife of Larry E. Quinn.
Mrs. Quinn, a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, was a graduate of Evans High School. She and Larry married in 1981. Mrs. Quinn worked as Supervisor of Business Services for Athens General Hospital and then as Emergency Room Manager at Doctors Hospital from 1985 to 1990. She joined Sherman & Hemstreet in 1992 as an agent. She was a loving and devoted mother. Mrs. Quinn cared for everyone, never meeting a stranger. She believed in the best in everybody and wasn’t happy until everybody else was happy. Mrs. Quinn had a strong Christian faith. She was the epitome of love, hope, and charity.
Family members in addition to her husband include sons: Lorenz Quinn (Diana) of Evans, Jason Enelow of Martinez, Jonathan Enelow (Jenny) of Martinez, Wallace Guy Quinn (Danielle) of Evans; seven grandchildren; brother, Bobby Sanders (Joyce); sister, Jane Hannon; best friend, Patty Hayes; and devoted companion, Caoimhe.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at Augusta Hills.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Pierce Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. Pallbearers will be Lorenz Quinn, Jason Enelow, Jonathan Enelow, Wallace Guy Quinn, A.S. Quinn III, William DuBose Quinn, Henry Lewis Quinn, and Augustine A. Bunce. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Sanders and David Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MCG Children’s Miracle Network, 1120 15th St., Room BA 8270, Augusta, GA 30912.
