Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, August 22, 2022, Dr. Martin Hadman, 66, loving husband of Dr.Theresa L. Christie.
Martin was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to New York City in 1975. He got his PhD in Molecular Biology from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1995. He retired as a research scientist from the Medical College of Georgia.
As a faithful member of St Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, Martin truly befriended everyone he met. He was a curious and compassionate man who enjoyed woodworking, writing code, and storytelling. Best known for his banter and silliness, no one ever walked away without a smile on their face.
Family members in addition to his wife include his son: T.K. Hadman (Lucy); brothers: Michael Hadman (Carmen), Dan Hadman (Mike) and Quentin Hadman; sisters: Eva Lucas (David) and Susan Hadman and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Father Mark Ross as celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Secular Franciscan Order. Inurnment will be at St. Mary on the Hill Columbarium at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter, 1850 Lake Park Drive, Suite 101, Smyrna, GA 30080.
