Marty Powell

Martinez, GA - Martha “Marty” Allison Powell, 58, entered into rest Sunday, May 14, 2023.

Marty loved trips to the beach, flip flops, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. She was beautiful inside and out and will be missed by all who knew her. Affectionately known as “Gigi” by her grandchildren, she was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend.

Family members include her children: Adam Allen (Kadie), Andrew Allen (Kaitlyn), and Ashlee Boyd (Jeffery); grandchildren: Charlee Boyd, Allen Boyd, and Kennedy Allen; mother: Martha E. Walker; siblings: Katrina Turner (John) and Al Powell (Denise); and many other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her father: Robert L. Powell; stepfather: Doug Walker; and brother: R. Scott Powell.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Inurnment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
