Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, August 17, 2009, Mr. Marvin Lee Weeks, 68, loving and devoted husband of 50 years to Linda Logue Weeks.
Mr. Weeks was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a retired painter and a member of Local #1730. Mr. Weeks was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Family members in addition to his wife include his daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy Weeks, Linda Brown, Lillian and Harvey Boone, Peggy and Virgil Collett, Donna and Milton G. Burroughs, Jr. all of Augusta; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Peggy and Van Waites, brothers and sisters-in-law: Thadeus and Peggy Weeks, Lloyd and Jewel Weeks and many, many devoted friends and family. Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by his parents: Thadeus Marvin Weeks and Lillian Lee Cone Weeks.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 21, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Chris Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Milton G. Burroughs III (Guy), Alex Winfrey, Robert L. Leverett, Pedro Ortiz (JJ), Bo Dwayne Boone, Kijuan Screven, Harvey Boone, Milton G. Burroughs, Jr., Virgil Collett and Brian Cole. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
