Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, September 23, 2013, Mrs. Mary A. Pitzer, 79, loving wife of the late Arnold Pitzer.
Mrs. Pitzer was a native of Stillmore, Ga., but resided most of her life in Augusta.
She was a longtime member of Curtis Baptist Church as well as the secretary of Curtis Baptist School for many years. More recently she was an active member at Warren Baptist Church and a member of the Joyful Woman Sunday School Class. Her biggest joy in life was doing things for her family and friends.
Family members include sons: Jay Pitzer (Lynne) of Lexington, SC., Eric Pitzer (Liz) of Birmingham, AL.; grandchildren: J.P., Kelley, Caroline, John, Will, and Grayson Pitzer; numerous nieces and nephews and former daughter-in-law Beverly Pitzer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Walter Amerson officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank University Hospice for all their love and care.
