Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Trinity Hospital, Mrs. Mary Alice King, 83, loving wife of 63 years to the late George Pierce King III.
Mrs. King was a native of Augusta but lived in Lincolnton for the past 20 years. She was a loving wife and mother who opened up her home to many of her children’s friends and was a great influence in their lives.
Family members include her daughter: Janet King; sons: Steve Owen King and wife Pam, George Pierce King IV and wife Amanda, Don Wayne King and wife Teresa; grandchildren: Courtney Teston (Wesley), Kirby Adams (Trey), Ashlee King, Jason Lowry, Heather Griffin (Duane), Donald King, Christopher King, Stephen King, Kaitlin King, Caroline King; 6 great grandchildren; sister: Christine Banker; brother: the late Emmit Barrs.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Timothy Owings officiating. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and spouses.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association at 2916 Professional Parkway, Martinez, GA 30907.
