Mary Ann Bigler

Mary Ann Bigler, age 77, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was born on August 11, 1947, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to the late Felix Joseph and Lois Bruyninckx. 

Mary Ann was a gifted artist who loved being in nature, listening to music, and working in her garden. Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who was loved by all who knew her. She cherished her family deeply, and her pride in her children and grandchildren was evident to all. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, and her family was the center of her world. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix Joseph Bruyninckx and Lois Verzwyvelt Bruyninckx; her sister, Donna Swinnen; her nephew, Felix Joseph Bruyninckx III; and brothers-in-law, Lanis Carpenter, Ronald Luneau, and Daniel Whitney. Mary Ann is survived by her devoted husband of many years, Randy Bigler. She is also survived by her children: Kelleigh Trepanier (Scott), Laurie Bigler, Renee Lloyd (Steven), James Bigler (Amy), and Mary Glenn Moorhead (Cory). She is a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Christopher (Sophia), Maggie, Michael, Jake, Nicholas, Davis, and Caroline. She is also survived by her siblings: Glenda Melton (Wayne), Joe Bruyninckx (Mary Lynn), Cindy Tammen (David), and June Whitney, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives who will miss her dearly. 

Mary Ann’s love for her family and her joyful spirit will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
