Augusta, GA – On Sunday, April 27, 2014, Mary Beatrice Jackson, 43, wife of 20 years to Joseph Thomas Jackson II, entered into eternal rest at her home surrounded by family.
In addition to her husband, family members include sons Joseph Thomas Jackson III and Andrew Paul Jackson, daughter Beatrice Susan Jackson, mother Beatrice Visintainer, sisters Karin Phillips (Bill) and Joyce Garner (Craig), brothers Robert J. Visintainer (Kathy), David Visintainer (Mary), John Visintainer (Becky) and Paul Visintainer (Heather), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Visintainer.
Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, darling daughter, beloved sister and aunt, and loyal friend. She loved her family dearly, especially her husband and her children. Her deep love for the Lord was evidenced by her trust in Him.
Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She brought much life and happiness to family celebrations and gatherings with friends. She was generous and thoughtful, always thinking of others. She never complained, even in the midst of trials. She also enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at Trinity Hospital and University Hospital. She was awarded “Employee of the Year” for 2013 in the Wound and Hyperbaric Center at University Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Golden Harvest Food Bank, 3310 Commerce Drive, Augusta, GA 30909.
