Mary Flesor Fromm
Evans, GA – Mary Flesor Fromm, age 94, passed away on August 23, 2018, surrounded by family.
She is survived by three children: Nicki Lou Rimmer; Richard Martin Fromm and wife Sarah; Georgia Fromm Perrotta and husband Mark; six grandchildren: Sarah Zoch and husband Tim; Ryan Matthew Rimmer and wife Heather; David Thompson Fromm and wife Cari; Zachary Richard Fromm and wife Stephanie; Samantha Perrotta Turner and husband John; and Maddie Perrotta Wilson and husband Andrew; as well as eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and brother: Chris Flesor and wife Clare. Mrs. Fromm was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, George Richard Fromm; her parents: Nick and Agnes Flesor; and twin brother: George Flesor.
Mrs. Fromm was born in Tuscola, Illinois to Greek immigrants where she spent her childhood. She attended college at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois. Throughout her adult life, Mrs. Fromm volunteered with many civic organizations including the Navy League of the United States. She spent most of her adult life with her family in the town of Glenview, Illinois where she was named Citizen of the Year in 1980. “Yaya” was an avid Bridge player and loved to entertain, travel and play golf. In 2000, Mrs. Fromm moved with her husband to Orlando, Florida and then to Augusta, Georgia in 2012.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, 1330 Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
