Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, June 7, 2016, Mrs. Mary “Geri” Shell, 82, beloved wife to the late Roy A. Shell, Jr.
Mrs. Shell was a native of Augusta, GA. She was a volunteer at the Augusta Boxing Club and a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan. Mary loved going to the Green Jackets baseball games with her husband. As the family matriarch, her opinions were respected by all! She was a beloved and devoted mother and grandmother.
Family members including her late husband; children: Kathleen McRoy, Michael Shell and wife Marilyn, and Sheila Zimmerman and husband Walton; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Earl and B.J. Sumner and sister: Caroline Guinn.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev.Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
