Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, April 06, 2016, Mary Horne Mahony, 87, loving wife of 62 years to Robert D. Mahony.
Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church, Azalea Garden Club, her Sunday School class and circle. Mary worked for over 50 years in the family’s business, the Casual Hut, Inc. She brought immeasurable joy to all those around her with her wonderful sense of humor, love of life and ever positive attitude. Above all she was kind and she will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her family and friends.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Betsy Sheorn (Trip) of Union, SC, Sally White (Lewis) of Spartanburg, SC, and Robin Leonard of Augusta, GA; grandchildren: Drew Sheorn (Lauren), Caroline Sheorn, Lawson Jenkins (Sean), Lewis White, Jr. (Lauren), Molly White, Lauren Leonard, and Rob Leonard; and great-grandchildren: Blythe, Coleman, and Jack.
A memorial service will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in Storey Chapel of First Baptist Church of Augusta with Rev. Chip Reeves officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Augusta, 3500 Walton Way Ext., Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
