Mary Pritchard

Entered into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, February 2, 2025, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Baber McDonald Pritchard, 100, loving wife of the late Harry Pritchard. 

Mary was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church. She was a caretaker to several generations of friends and family. She was also a florist and created many beautiful arrangements for countless weddings. She was a consummate hostess who was very generous, and she was an excellent cook especially when it came to red velvet cake, pound cake, and banana pudding. Mary never had an unkind word to say and was affectionately known as “Big Mary”. 

Family members include her nephew: Mike Sizemore (Connie); nieces: Mary Whittle (Johnny) and Bonnie Jackson; daughter: Gail Gore (Robert); and their children, grandchildren, and other loving family members. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her first husband, George Emory “Mac” McDonald, parents, Arthur and Estelle Baber, and siblings, Gladstone Baber, Arthur E. Baber, Jr., Mildred Jackson, Jean B. Sizemore, and infant siblings, Rachel and William Baber. 

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with her nephew, Mike Sizemore, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
