Mary R. Booker Lemon

Augusta, GA – Mary R. Booker Lemon, 72, passed peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2023 at home with her husband Ross Lemon. Mary battled Ovarian Cancer for over three years. Mary and Ross were happily married for 17 years. Mary was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a 1969 graduate of Butler High School and a graduate of Augusta College. Mary was a real estate agent for over 40 years. She was the original owner of Keller Williams Realty - Augusta Partners, bringing the agency to Augusta in the year 2000. Mary assisted many people coming from all over with their real estate needs. In her later years, Mary loved playing golf with her husband and Diane Schuler, her best friend. She was an avid artist that loved to paint.

Survivors include her children: James Porteous, Kim Williams, and Daniel Porteous (Christy); sister: Joanne Booker Courtney (Carl); brothers: Robert Booker (Sheila) and Chris Booker (Hanh). Brother-in-law: Scott Lemon (Winnipeg, Canada) Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, nephews and great-niece. She was predeceased by her late husbands: Carl Dragoo and Kenneth Porteous; daughter: Debbie Porteous and parents: Jerry and Dorothy Booker; in-laws: Merlin and Shirley-Anne Lemon. The family thanks Bea for all the hours of friendship, love and care, that she offered Mary during her illness.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Chaplain Wayne Bruner officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Georgia Cancer Research, Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University, 1120 15th St , Augusta, GA 30912.
