Augusta, GA – Mrs. Mary Frances Richards entered into rest Thursday, April 5, 2018, loving wife of the late Mr. Robert Leslie “Bob” Richards, Sr.

Upon graduating from Coker College with a Business Education degree she taught at Butler High School the first year it opened. Her hobbies included reading, gardening and most importantly spending time with her family.

Family members include sons: Robert L. Richards, Jr. (Kim), Kenneth B. Richards (Kim), and Kevin I. Richards (Victoria); brother: Virgil “Sonny” Irick; Niece: Julie Irick; Nephew: Jonathan Irick (Jen); grandchildren: Taylor D. Richards, Robert L. Richards, III, Caroline E. Richards, and Catherine I. Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Frances Irick.

The funeral service will be Monday, April 9, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Wesley UMC with Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Liberty UMC cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be: Brent Richards, Brian Richards, Robert Richards and Michael Newman.

The family would like to acknowledge the residents and staff at the Benton House and the entire staff at Harrington Park for their compassionate care and kindness.
