Martinez, GA – Mrs. Mary Ruth Lane Rosier, 93, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at her home.

The funeral will be held in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mary was born in Olar, SC. She graduated from Vidalia High School in 1940. Mary married Wilber Rosier (deceased) in 1940 and moved to Augusta. She worked at J.C. Penny and retired from Sears Roebuck.

Mary loved to cook for her family, write poetry, crochet and read (especially her Bible). God came first, then her family and church. Mary was a member of Pineview Baptist Church and a prior church member of Calvary Baptist Church for 60 years.

Survivors include two sons: James Rosier (Ann) and Kenneth Rosier (Lana); a sister: Louise Britt; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Pallbearers will be Kip Rosier, Kevin Rosier, Jamie Rosier, Ryan Johnson, Jackson Rosier and Conner Rosier. Honorary pallbearers will be the New Life Sunday School Class.
