Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Monday, March 24, 2014, Mary Sheppard Cain, 93 wife of the late Leon “Buddy” Sheppard.
Mrs. Cain was a native and lifelong resident of Martinez, Ga. She was a homemaker and loving mother that raised 10 children. She was a dedicated member of Flowing Wells Holiness Worship Center for 70 or more years.
Family members include daughters: Beth Maddox of Augusta, Marita Fordham of Augusta, Shannon Debow of Evans, Deronda Templeton (Lawson) of Evans, and Francine Josey (Windom) of Evans; sons: Milton Sheppard (Gail) of Thomson, Victor Sheppard (Patsy) of Martinez and Keith Sheppard of Martinez; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren
She was pre-deceased by her son: Michael Sheppard and daughter: Carlene Sheppard and by her late husband Leon Sheppard and Ceasar Cain.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Flowing Wells Holiness Worship Center with Rev. Tony Rhodes and Rev. Bobby Renew officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson-Evans Cemetery on Pleasant Home Road. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
