Mrs. Mary Snell Poteet
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Trinity Hospital, Mrs. Mary Snell Poteet, wife of the late L.D. Poteet of Hephzibah.
Mrs. Poteet was a native and lifelong resident of Richmond County. She retired after 25 years from Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was the oldest living member of Hephzibah United Methodist Church. She was best known by her family and friends for her generous spirit. She was always ready and willing to care for others. The family would like to thank all the friends for their support over the years.
Family members include her sons: Lewis Dean Poteet, Jr. and wife Charlotte, Joseph Henry Poteet and wife Melody; daughter: Mary Ann Owens and husband Billy; grandsons: Brad, Trey, and Andrew Poteet; two great grandchildren; sister: Ann Snell of Augusta; and sister-in-law: Floy Alligood of Augusta.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. T.G. Hall officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hephzibah United Methodist Church, 4431 Brothersville Road, Hephzibah, GA 30815.
