She enjoyed her years as a preschool and elementary teacher, but her primary calling was as a wife and mother. She enjoyed giving back to her community through service in the Woman’s Junior Welfare league, children’s ministries for the church and educational related committees. She was a gracious hostess and enjoyed extending Southern hospitality to family, friends and friends of friends. She was an avid sports fan and on most Saturdays she could be found tomahawk chopping her Seminoles to victory or supporting her grandchildren on the sidelines of courts, pools and fields.
